Phones with two cameras on the back have been around for years (think 2011’s HTC Evo 3D). Though the trend isn’t completely ubiquitous yet, it may be well on its way. Here are four of the best dual-camera phones CNET has reviewed so far.

OnePlus 5

Product Review: https://www.cnet.com/products/oneplus-5-review/#ftag=CAD187281f

CNET rating: 4.5 stars out of 5 (Outstanding)

The good: The OnePlus 5 is affordable and super fast, with an 18-hour battery. Its camera takes great portraits and low-light shots.

The bad: It costs more than any previous OnePlus model, its design isn’t anything special and it doesn’t have expandable storage.

The cost: $624.94

The bottom line: The OnePlus 5 is outstanding, especially for the price; no other phone gives you the same bang for the buck.

Apple iPhone 7 Plus

Product Review: https://www.cnet.com/products/apple-iphone-7-plus/review/#ftag=CAD187281f

CNET rating: 4.5 stars out of 5 (Outstanding)

The good: Dual rear cameras delivers true 2x optical zoom, with a cool bokeh Portrait mode. Battery lasts longer than last year’s model, and longer than iPhone 7. Water resistant. Fast. Bigger storage options include 256GB model for serious photographers.

The bad: There’s no standard headphone jack: you’ll have to use Lightning, or the included adapter, or go wireless. Design is showing its age, as competing phones squeeze a 5.5-inch screen into smaller, sexier bodies. And it’s really expensive.

The cost: $869.00 to $888.89

The bottom line: The iPhone 7 Plus is one of the best point-and-shoot cameras ever — and it’s a great phone, too.

LG G6

Product Review: https://www.cnet.com/products/lg-g6/review/#ftag=CAD187281f

CNET rating: 4.0 stars out of 5 (Excellent)

The good: The beautifully design LG G6 is water-resistant with a tall, expansive display and an extra wide-angle camera.

The bad: The phone is LG’s first flagship in years without a removable battery. It has last year’s Snapdragon 821 chipset.

The cost: $500.00 to $584.99

The bottom line: The LG G6 is a gorgeous phone and those wary of Samsung should get it.

Huawei P10

Product Review: https://www.cnet.com/products/huawei-p10/review/#ftag=CAD187281f

CNET rating: 4.0 stars out of 5 (Excellent)

The good: The compact Huawei P10 is comfortable to hold and looks great. Its camera is awesome and it has oodles of power.

The bad: It’s expensive, the touch-sensitive navigation key is awkward to use and it’s not waterproof.

The cost: $679.00

The bottom line: Despite some criticisms, the P10’s lovely design and brilliant camera make it a very compelling choice — as long as you can stomach the cost.
