FLOWERY BRANCH -- Veteran wide James Washington, who was signed on July 29th, was released by the Falcons on Sunday.

The Falcons had to make room on the 90-man roster for safety Justin Simmons, who agreed to terms with the team on Thursday and signed on Sunday.
