A teenager has been charged with two counts of murder, aggravated assault and gun-related charges after two men were killed early Saturday at the Private Eye Club on Thomas Lane, according to The Augusta Chronicle.

Antoine Redfield, 19, reportedly was stopped leaving the area by the Georgia State Patrol and the Richmond County Sheriff’s Office during the investigation, and he was detained for questioning.

Redfield was arrested and charged after Richmond County deputies responded to the nightclub about 2:12 a.m. Saturday.

Charles Edward Lawson lll, 28, of the 2400 block of Saint Thomas Trail in Hephzibah was shot at least once and transported to University Hospital. He was pronounced dead at 2:42 a.m.

Ja Brie Savonjay Dominguez, 23, of the 1200 block of Woodvalley Road was shot at least once and was pronounced dead at the scene at 3 a.m.

Lawson and Dominguez’s bodies were taken to the Georgia Bureau of Investigation lab for autopsies.
