A woman was yelling and screaming while being forced into an SUV at a Fairburn park, witnesses told police.

Witnesses at Duncan Park said the woman was walking when a brown or gold Chevrolet Uplander stopped beside her, according to Sgt. Anthony Bazydlo with Fairburn police.

A man driving the Uplander got out of the vehicle and forced the woman into the SUV, Bazydlo said. Another woman sitting in the front passenger seat appeared to be crying or upset, witnesses reported.

The Uplander left the park as witnesses called police. A red shoe, believed to belong to the victim, was found at the scene, Bazydlo said. A partial tag of “EH” was seen.

Anyone with information on the incident is asked to contact Fairburn police at 770-964-1441.
