Woman killed in wrong way interstate wreck in Cherokee

A Jasper woman driving the wrong way on Interstate 575 in Cherokee County was killed Saturday morning when she drove head-on into a tractor trailer.

Kristen Adams, of Jasper, was traveling south in a silver Toyota Corolla in the northbound lanes of Interstate 575 between Ball Ground and Canton, when she struck a tractor-trailer head-on, the Georgia State Patrol told Channel 2 Action News.

Adams was pronounced dead on the scene of the 2:30 a.m. wreck, troopers said.
