A watch party for “Walking Dead” Sunday featured a special announcement about an eatery owned by one of the show’s stars.
Nic & Norman’s is set to open in downtown Chattanooga, Tennessee, next year, Greg Nicotero, a “Walking Dead” director and co-owner of the restaurant, announced during the watch party. Nicotero co-owns the restaurant with Norman Reedus, who plays Daryl Dixon on the show.
In 2016, the duo opened the first location in Senoia, Georgia, which is about 40 miles south of Atlanta. In an interview on the “Stephen Colbert Show” in 2017, Reedus described the restaurant’s menu as "Southern feel-good food and a lot of it," with "things fried, and mountains of gravy on stuff fried."
The Senoia location offers gourmet burgers, flatbreads and a unique dish called the Nic-N-Chicken, a double breast of chicken seasoned and basted with N&N sauce and topped with sautéed mushrooms and onions. (See the full menu here.)
Nic & Norman’s will open next spring in the Chattanooga Choo Choo complex.
“We started looking around for some other places, and we wanted to seek out these kind of iconic, historic areas,” Nicotero said Sunday.
