The motorist who hit two children Tuesday morning and kept driving has been caught.
The accident occurred at Lee Street and York Avenue, Atlanta police spokeswoman Kim Jones told The Atlanta Journal-Constitution in an emailed statement.
The children, whose ages were not released, did not appear to have any visible injuries, Jones said. According to Channel 2 Action News, one of the children went to school after the hit-and-run.
“They are alert, conscious and breathing,” Jones said.
Jones said that Anthony Sanchez, 60, was apprehended and charged with leaving the scene of an accident and failure to yield to pedestrians in a crosswalk.
