Two men were recovering from gunshot wounds Tuesday following an overnight home invasion and robbery at a house in DeKalb County.

The shooting happened about 11 p.m. Monday at a home on Casa Linda Drive, in a neighborhood off Columbia Drive.

DeKalb police Capt. Stephen Fore told Channel 2 Action News that when a 19-year-old man answered a knock at the door, three armed men rushed in and demanded money.

Another resident, a 53-year-old man, came downstairs after hearing a commotion, and was shot by one of the suspects, Fore said.

“The suspects then shot the 19-year-old and fled from the home,” he said.

The victims, whose names have not been released, were taken to Grady Memorial Hospital in stable condition.

Fore said the incident is not believed to be random.
