The state will close some metro Atlanta express lanes after morning rush hour Tuesday as metro Atlanta braces for possible winter weather.

The State Road and Tollway Authority says it will close the I-75 South Metro Express Lanes in Clayton and Henry counties in both directions beginning at 11 a.m. Tuesday. The agency will close the Northwest Corridor Express Lanes on I-75 and I-575 in Cobb and Cherokee counties 11:30 a.m. Tuesday. They will be closed until further notice.

In addition, SRTA has canceled the state’s Xpress bus service on Tuesday. The agency will monitor weather conditions and assess whether to resume transit service on Wednesday.
