An Atlanta Public Schools bus with no passengers overturned on a car after being struck on Metropolitan Parkway in southwest Atlanta, authorities said Thursday morning.

A dump truck struck the bus from behind as the bus was making a right turn onto Casplan Street, Atlanta Public Schools spokeswoman Kimberly Willis Green said. The bus flipped onto a car waiting at the traffic light.

The bus driver was taken to Grady Memorial Hospital, Willis Green said. There was no information on the driver’s conditions.

No one else was injured in the crash.
