The Travis County medical examiner's office has identified the man who died in what police believe was a drag-racing crash Friday night as 29-year-old Faustino Torres Mijes.

Torres Mijes died of blunt trauma after being ejected from his vehicle through a window, said Sarah Scott, chief administrative officer at the medical examiner’s office.

Police have said two cars were racing on Dessau Road near Rundberg Lane Friday night when one car lost control, crossed the center median and went into incoming traffic. Scott said that car – driven by Torres Mijes – then hit a van. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
