Three men died early Saturday morning when the driver lost control of their car and flipped onto I-75 in Midtown Atlanta, closing the freeway for hours.

The Fulton County Medical Examiner’s Office identified the men as Esu Manzano, 36; Adam Bailey, 33; and Cordel Fowler, 24, all of the metro Atlanta area.

Atlanta police said the three were headed south on the Buford Highway Connector at about 3 a.m. in a 2012 Audi A3 when the driver lost control of the car.

It veered off the Spring Street ramp into a barrier and “traveled along the wall for some distance,” police said, before flipping over the wall and landing on its roof on northbound I-75.

Police said the car was crushed and all three men were killed on impact.

The crash closed all lanes of northbound I-75 for hours.
