Normal service has resumed on the east-west MARTA line after a man was struck and killed early Wednesday, officials said in a Twitter post.

The man died after being taken to Grady Memorial Hospital with head and arm injuries, spokeswoman Alisa Jackson said. The incident happened near the Candler Park station.

“A trespasser was on the tracks and was hit by a train,” she said. “At this time, I don’t know how he came to be on the tracks.”
