The state will close multiple lanes of I-85 this weekend – and through the rush hours Monday morning and afternoon – so it can finish putting up a sign that alerts drivers to the new 85-Ga. 400 entrance ramp.

The Georgia Department of Transportation will close two to four of the six southbound lanes between Clairmont Road and North Druid Hills Road, and two of the northbound lanes on the same segment of road:

  • Four of six lanes of I-85 South will close between midnight and 7 a.m. Saturday, Sunday and Monday.
  • Three sounbound will be closed during the daylight hours.
  • Two left lanes I-85 North will be closed all weekend until 5 a.m. Tuesday.

The DOT planned to do the work last weekend but called much of it off because of Saturday’s rains. It plans to finish up this weekend and Monday.
