Two people were killed in a head-on collision Tuesday in Barrow County.

Barrow County Sheriff Judd Smith said officials are working to contact families of the two people.

Deputies are on the scene and asking drivers to avoid the area of Ga. 211 from Dee Kennedy Road to County Line-Auburn Road, according to a Facebook post from the Barrow sheriff's office.

“We are not releasing any information regarding the vehicles or victims at this time,” the sheriff’s office said in the post. “We will advise when more information is available.”
