A school bus, a day care van and a pickup truck were involved in a crash Friday afternoon in South Fulton, according to school officials.

The incident happened about 3:45 p.m. on Cascade Palmetto Highway near Rivertown Road, the Fulton County School System said. The bus had left Creekside High School, and the day care van belonged to Chattahoochee Hills Charter School.

South Fulton police told Channel 2 Action News that no major injuries were reported, but seven students on both the bus and the van were treated as a precautionary measure.

It’s unclear what led to the wreck, but the bus sustained only minor damage to its front end. Police are investigating the incident.

The scene was cleared by 5:50 p.m., Channel 2 reported.
