A bicyclist was hit Friday near McCollum Parkway and Old Highway 41 in Kennesaw.

“The bicyclist is an older male, the person driving the vehicle is also a male and he is cooperating with the investigation,” Kennesaw Police Department Officer Scott Luther said.

The bicyclist was transported to a local hospital. His condition was not known.

The WSB 24-hour Traffic Center urged drivers to avoid Old Highway 41 at McCollum Parkway.

No other details were released.
