Q: Why doesn’t Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport have a service animal relief area on the passenger side of the TSA? If you have a service animal and connecting through Atlanta, you have to go out of the building and then back through security.
—Gail Fruecht, Loganville
A: Nine animal relief areas are being added to concourses throughout Hartsfield-Jackson, the AJC reported earlier this month.
The areas will be available to all pets, not just service animals.
Airport officials have designated the areas and construction is set to begin.
The U.S. Department of Transportation ruled in 2015 that every airport with “10,000 or more passengers boarding planes annually” would be required to “provide wheelchair accessible animal relief areas for service animals,” the AJC article stated.
Hartsfield-Jackson’s current pet relief areas are outside the domestic and international terminals, before security.
Q: I haven’t seen Robert Osborne on Turner Classic Movies in quite a while. Has he taken a leave of absence or been ill?
—Sharon Greenwood, Stone Mountain
A: Osborne, 84, is taking time off while dealing with what he called a "health issue."
Osborne, a host with Turner Classic Movies, posted a statement in April stating that he would “focus on that and enjoy some
vacation time.”
He also missed TCM’s Classic Film Festival. The annual event was held from April 28-May 1.
Osborne also missed the Classic Film Festival in 2015 after “a minor health procedure,” The Hollywood Reporter reported on April 8.
TCM added Tiffany Vazquez as a Saturday daytime host in May.
She joined Osborne, who has been with TCM since it began in 1994, and Ben Mankiewicz.
