Q: There’s a new building going up near the on-ramp to I-285 from southbound Cobb Parkway. This is not a typical office or retail building, and no signs give an indication of what it is. Would you find out its purpose?

—Lynette White, Smyrna

A: IFly Indoor Skydiving is constructing a facility at 2778 Cobb Parkway, across U.S. 41 from SunTrust Park, that's scheduled to open in early November.

"Indoor skydiving is the simulation of true freefall conditions in a vertical wind tunnel," iflyworld.com states.

Fans in the upper part of the building generate wind that flows through "Return Air Towers."

The air is funneled through an inlet contractor, which "reduces the space it can travel in, thus compressing and speeding up the air before it reenters the flight chamber," the website states.

IFly has 55 locations in 13 countries, the AJC reported last week.

The Atlanta Braves are scheduled to move to SunTrust Park next season.

AllStar Golf has plans to open a $27 million driving range on Windy Hill Road that would feature a three-story, 61,300 square foot facility and employ 400 people, the AJC reported in July.

It’s scheduled to open in late 2017 and is about 3 miles from SunTrust Park.

Q: With the 20-year anniversary of the Atlanta Olympic Games, is there a way to buy some of the sportswear from the games? Is there anywhere online that we can order it?

—J.D. Daniels, Decatur

Q: There were hundreds of eBay listings for assorted 1996 Olympic shirts, hats, shorts and other apparel earlier this week.

You can also try flea markets, thrift shops, craigslist.com and etsy.com.
