The Norcross Cooperative Ministry will hold two events in the coming week to help the community. The faith-based, non-profit, ecumenical ministry provides emergency assistance to families in Norcross and surrounding areas of Gwinnett.
The organization will hold a Health and Wellness Fair to help individuals take control of their health 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 12 at 2275 Mitchell Road NW in Norcross. All events are free. Participants can obtain health screenings, information on nutrition, fitness instruction and diabetes. Event includes free healthy snacks and kids activities.
And for those looking for work, Waffle House will partner with Norcross Cooperative Ministry to provide a hiring event 10 a.m. to noon Tuesday, Sept. 15 at 2275 Mitchell Road in Norcross. Positions include grill operators, servers, managers and more. Resumes are not required, but recommended along with proper attire.
Twenty-three local churches and numerous businesses, civic and social organizations, foundations, and individuals support Norcross Cooperative Ministry.
