Police in Columbus are searching for two teenagers in separate cases who have gone missing during the last two weeks, and officials have not ruled out whether the children could be runaways.
Kalub Wheeler, 17, was last seen Oct. 18, and Shaniya Cook, 14, was last seen Monday.
According to the Columbus Police Department, Kalub was in the custody of Georgia's Division of Family and Children Services when he left to attend Spencer High School early on a Friday morning and never returned. At the time of his disappearance, Kalub was wearing a white Atlanta Braves jersey, tan pants and white Nike athletic shoes, officials said. He has brown eyes, brown hair, is 5 feet, 9 inches and weighs about 143 pounds.
Shaniya vanished after being last seen near Ticknor Drive in Columbus.

Officials did not provide a description of the clothes she was wearing, but say she may have her hair styled in long braids that she sometimes wears up in a bun.
She is 4-10, weighs 120 pounds, and has brown eyes and black hair.
The Columbus Police Department is asking anyone with information about the teens to call 911 or the department's Special Victims Unit at 706-653-3449.
