Traffic, development run amok on St. Simons?

Traffic jams? Too many condos? Out of touch government?
Metro Atlantans are all too familiar with the urban woes endemic in a big city. But, increasingly, the complaints roll off the tongues of St. Simons' 15,000 residents — many who quit Atlanta for retirement living on the beach.
Talk of over-development ratchets upwards as coastal locals increasingly consider incorporating St. Simons and Sea Island. Opponents, though, fear higher taxes, stymied growth and less affordable housing.
