1. Sorry Democrats, 2018 won't be the blue wave you were hoping for

From USA TODAY: "All Democrats have to do in order to retake Congress in November is avoid appearing to be smug, paternalistic scolds. No can do."

2. Democrats have it too good to shoot themselves in the foot

From Washington Post: "Liberals need candidates who can connect with voters in a cycle begging for a blue wave."

3. Could too many candidates be a problem for the Democrats?

From The Hill: "The crowded playing field will inevitably lead to an increase in hurt feelings and bruised egos, but it is inevitable when there is so much uncertainty about what will happen in the fall."
