West Coast rapper Bad Azz reportedly died at age 43 Monday.

The rapper and actor died Nov. 11, at the Southwest Detention Center in Riverside, California, according to an Instagram post by his friend and fellow rapper Dazz Dillinger. The Long Beach lyricist, whose real name was Jamarr Antonio Stamps, was being held on a charge of domestic violence. Dillinger's post included the jail information listed for Stamps at the detention center. He posted the screenshot with the caption "NO JUSTICE NO PEACE."

Stamps would’ve turned 44 on Nov. 27. He was known for his song “Wrong Idea,” and he collaborated with such hip-hop greats as Tupac, Snoop Dogg and Bones Thugs-n-Harmony’s Bizzy Bone. He released five studio albums. His highest charting single was “Wrong Idea,” which featured Snoop Dogg. It reached No. 75 on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop songs chart in 2001.

Snoop Dogg and several others shared their condolences online.

Reknowned producer and rapper Biz Markie paid tribute to the rapper Monday night on Twitter. He described Bad Azz as "a legendary freestyler and unsung G-Funk linchpin, who dropped a series of classic lowriding anthems."

Hip-hop legends Ice T and Ice Cube also paid tribute Tuesday.
