A couple walking home around 4 a.m. Thursday was robbed at gunpoint in the Castleberry Hill neighborhood, Atlanta police said. Then, gunshots were exchanged.

One suspect fired shots toward the couple and the male robbery victim returned fire near the intersection of Fair and Bradberry streets, Capt. Jan Vincent with Atlanta police said. Neither shooter was injured, Vincent said.

While two suspects ran from the area, officers located a driver who had approached the couple just before the robbery, according to police. That driver, whose name was not released, was arrested at the scene, Vincent said.

During the investigation, a gunshot victim arrived at Grady Memorial Hospital, Vincent said. But officers had not determined if it was related to the same incident.
