Three teens have been arrested after police say they tried to break into about 300 vehicles in a Dacula subdivision between Christmas week and New Year’s.

The three juveniles, whose names were not released, include a 16-year-old and two 15 year-olds, all from Dacula, Gwinnett County police said in an emailed statement. The teens were charged with a total of 22 counts of entering auto, two counts of burglary, five counts of criminal trespass, and four counts of criminal damage to property. Two of the teens also were also charged with criminal trespass.

The incidents occurred between Dec. 21 and Jan 2, Gwinnett police said. Some of the vehicles in the Apalachee Heritage subdivision were unlocked, according to the police department’s statement.

Besides the break-ins, some vehicles also had slashed tires, Gwinnett authorities said.
