The father of a missing 12-year-old Johns Creek girl fears his daughter may have been taken to Pennsylvania, police said.
Taleiyah Brown, 12, was last seen entering a red, 4-door vehicle after she got off her school bus at the Chelsea Ridge Apartments in the 9700 block of Medlock Crossing Parkway, the Johns Creek Police Department said Wednesday in a Facebook post.
“Taleiyah’s father believes her mother has picked her up and may be on her way to” Pittsburgh, according to the Facebook post. “Taleiyah’s father has full custody of his daughter. At this time we have not confirmed she is with her mother. Taleiyah may be in the Riverdale area.”
She was wearing maroon sweat pants and a faded gray hoodie sweatshirt. Her hair was wrapped in a brown and black scarf.
The girl’s mother, 32-year-old Laurn Williams, is described as 5-foot-1 and 112 pounds. Johns Creek police released a photo of her Friday.
Anyone with information on Taleiyah’s whereabouts is asked to call 911.
