Fulton County police believe a teenage girl missing since September could be somewhere in Atlanta in an area known for exploitation of females.
Deavahnee Laws, 15, was reported missing from Union City on Sept. 18.
Fulton County police Lt. Scott McBride said authorities have learned that she may still be in the metro Atlanta area.
“We have new information that Ms. Laws may be residing in local motels in south and southwest Atlanta, in areas where females have been exploited in the past,” McBride said, adding that Laws mother has been desperately trying to find her since her disappearance.
Deavahnee is 5-feet-2-inches tall and weighs 135 pounds, with brown eyes and brown hair, though when she was last seen it was dyed honey blonde. Her ears and navel are pieced and she has a few tattoos.
According to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children, 24 youths reported missing from Georgia this year, including Deavahnee, remain missing today.
Anyone with information on Deavahnee Laws’ whereabouts should call the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children at 1-800-843-5678 or Fulton County Police at 404-730-7109.
