Police investigating shooting near NW Atlanta shopping area

Police are investigating a shooting near a northwest Atlanta shopping area.

The incident occurred late Friday morning at a Taco Bell in the 1700 block of Howell Mill Road, Atlanta police Sgt. Gregory Lyon told The Atlanta Journal-Constitution in an emailed statement.

Lyon said the victim was shot in the leg and arm, then drove to the parking lot of a nearby Shell station. The victim claimed it was an armed robbery, Lyon said.
