REASONS TO PARK

Here is a sampling of events in downtown Atlanta Friday

If you park in a PARKAtlanta space Friday, you can skip putting money in the meter.

PARKAtlanta announced Wednesday that there would be no enforcement of metered parking on Dec. 26, “in the spirit of the Christmas holiday.”

“PARKAtlanta would like all Atlanta residents and visitors to enjoy all the wonderful shops, events and sites that he city has to offer during the holiday season,” PARKAtlanta said in the release.

There is a limit to the Christmas spirit, though. Parking enforcement resumes normal operations Saturday morning.

Also, the company warned that “safety violations” such as restricted parking in tow-away zones would continue to be enforced Friday.
