One person is dead after a Thursday afternoon shooting at a southwest Atlanta apartment complex.
Just before 1 p.m., Atlanta police Officer Kim Jones told The Atlanta Journal-Constitution someone was shot in the 1800 block of Campbellton Road, which is the address of the Venetian Hills Apartments.
Jones offered no other details about the unidentified victim, but said homicide investigators were on the scene.
Thursday's shooting was not the first fatality at the Venetian Hills. Last May, Rashawn Jackson, 34, of Atlanta, was shot in the head after answering a knock on her door.
