Fresh after bringing his “Sunday service” to megachurch pastor Joel Osteen’s flock, rapper/mogul/Kardashian-in-law Kanye West has been invited to worship at one of the Big Apple’s biggest strip clubs.
On Thursday, the management team at New York City’s Sapphire Gentlemen’s Club invited West to “deliver your free, faith-filled concert in a new audience of Gentlemen’s Club entertainers, service staff and more. We’d love to open the doors to our 39th Street location in midtown Manhattan and have you and your choir grace us with your presence.”
Last weekend, West appeared with Osteen at Lakewood Church in Houston, where more than 43,000 people attend services each week and which has become the nation’s largest church.

The invitation came in the form of a letter from Sapphire vice president Andrew Zarlan:
Zarlan said he had seen West appear at services inside Houston’s Harris County jail and Baker Street jail.
“We wanted to extend an offer to Kanye given his affinity for adult entertainment,” Zarlan said. “He has long been outspoken about his indulgences and has recently cited adult entertainment as one of the reasons he turned to God. We think this presents him with a unique opportunity to spread his message and deliver a powerful sermon to a new audience in a new environment, following up on his recent appearances at prisons and a megachurch."
During Sunday’s appearance with Osteen, West touched on a variety of topics, including religion, the perils of fame and money and going to church as a child. He also talked about how he used to approach things, telling parishioners that “all of that arrogance” that people had seen in him, he is “now using it for God.”
“The only superstar is Jesus,” West said as the crowd applauded loudly.
Lakewood holds services at the former Compaq Center, once the home of the Houston Rockets. Osteen’s weekly television program is viewed by more than 13 million households in the U.S. and millions more in 100 nations
Earlier this year, West also brought his “Sunday service” to New Birth Missionary Baptist Church in metro Atlanta.
West has been making such appearances on Sundays this year, including one in Dayton, Ohio, to help that community in the wake of the mass shooting and on Easter Sunday during the music festival Coachella.
