Katie Couric, in a candid podcast conversation, talked about one of her most uncomfortable celebrity interviews, which was with Academy Award winner Denzel Washington.
During a Monday episode of "Everything Iconic with Danny Pelligrino," the broadcasting veteran talked about her transition from television personality to newsletter and podcast founder.
During the podcast interview, Pelligrino asked the NBC News legend about her interviews with Sarah Palin and Ann Coulter. Couric, 63, said she remembers vying against colleague Ann Curry for the interview with Coulter.
"Ann Curry was supposed to do that interview. ... And said 'well, well, well, well, well. I need to do that interview. "
She also reveals though she made a name for herself in television on NBC's "Today," she no longer watches the morning news show.
When asked about an interview that still haunts her, Couric remembers an interview with Washington, who was promoting his film "Manchurian Candidate" about 16 years ago.
