Channel 9 received disturbing video, Saturday, of a fight between teenage girls that's now under investigation in North Carolina.
Arrest warrants identified 17-year-old Macy Day as the girl on top of the victim.
You can see her punching the victim while others stand around.
Authorities said Day's parents Reggie and Brandy were encouraging their daughter to fight.
Authorities said this happened on Thursday.
The Caldwell County Sheriff's office said eight people have been charged. Channel 9 spoke with lieutenant Barlowe at the sheriff's office who said they launched an investigation as soon as they saw the video.
"I do think the parents need to stand up and be an example and not egg this kind of activity on," Barlowe said.
Authorities said everyone in the fight knew each other. The sheriff's office said some of those involved have already been arrested. There are warrants out for the others.
