What to know now:

1. Teen carrying BB gun killed: Police shot and killed  a 13-year-old who pulled a BB gun on officers in Columbus, Ohio, Wednesday night. The shooting happened when officers responded to a report of an armed robbery around 7:45 p.m. Police arriving on the scene, spotted three people who matched the description of the suspects, and attempted to talk to them when they ran. Officers followed two of the suspects into an alley when the 13-year-old pulled the BB gun from his waistband. Police shot the teen who later died.

2. ACC leaves NC: The Atlantic Coast Conference announced Wednesday that they will not hold championship games in the state of North Carolina, joining the NCAA in boycotting the state because of a law that requires that transgender people use the bathroom that corresponds with their gender at birth. The college sports conference is left to scramble to find a place to play its football championship game which was set for Dec. 3 for the Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte, N.C.

3. Drug price increase bill: A bipartisan group of lawmakers plan to introduce a bill Thursday that would  require drug manufacturers to explain to the Department of Health and Human Services any price increase in a drug that would be greater than 10 percent.  The bill's sponsors, including Sen. John McCain, (R-Ariz), say the companies would be required to notify HHS at least a month prior to the planned price increase.

4. Clinton's, Trump's health: Hillary Clinton's campaign released some more information about her health Wednesday, specifically information about her recent bout with pneumonia. Clinton's physician said the Democratic nominee for president had a mild case of noncontagious bacterial pneumonia and is taking the antibiotic Levaquin. She also had an ear infection in January, the statement revealed. Meanwhile, Clinton's opponent, Donald Trump, will find out  the results of  his medical report on the "Dr. Oz Show" set to air Thursday. According to reports, Oz analyzed the results of a physical that Trump took last week and will reveal them to him during the show. The show was taped Wednesday.

5. New poll numbers: Donald Trump has moved ahead of Hillary Clinton in some polls during the past week, gaining ground in the all-important swing states. According to a new CNN poll, Trump is leading in Ohio, Florida and Nevada and is making a run at Clinton in Maine where she is leading by only 3 percentage points. Clinton still remains ahead in most national polls.

The show that has no problem skewering anyone on any issue, took a swipe at media coverage that turned Kaepernick's message on its ear. Here is a sample of the lyrics for the new anthem: "Colin Kaepernick is brave/Cops are pigs, cops are pigs/Wait, someone just took my stuff/I need to call the cops./Oh no, I just said 'cops are pigs'/Whose gonna help me get my stuff?/Why did I listen to Colin Kaepernick?/He's not even any good."
