Here's a roundup of news trending across the nation and world today.
What to know now:
1. Gorilla shooting: Police are investigating the parents of the 3-year-old boy who fell into a gorilla enclosure at the Cincinnati Zoo Saturday. According to authorities, investigators will be looking into what the boy's parents were doing prior to the incident. A 400-pound silverback gorilla, Harambe, was shot and killed after he grabbed the child and dragged him around the enclosure. The USDA is also investigating the incident for violations of the Animal Welfare Act.
2. Chumlee sentenced: Austin Lee Russell, "Chumlee" to fans of the TV Show "Pawn Stars," accepted a plea deal last week to avoid jail time on gun and drug charges. Russell was ordered to undergo counseling as part of the deal.
3. Not selling policies: UnitedHealth Group, the country's largest health insurer, announced Tuesday it will no longer sell health insurance plans in California through the Affordable Care Act insurance marketplace. UnitedHealth announced last month it would no longer sell health plans through the ACA or "Obamacare" in most of the 34 of states where it operates. The company claimed it was losing too much money in the marketplace plans.
4. Flour recall: General Mills is recalling 10 million pounds of flour on concerns it may be contaminated with a strain of the E. coli bacteria. State and federal health officials have linked the flour to 38 illnesses in 20 states. The company says its Gold Medal flour, Wondra flour, and Signature Kitchens flour (sold in Safeway, Albertsons, Jewel, Shaws, Vons, United, Randalls, and Acme stores) is being recalled.
5. Will Smith: Former New Orleans Saints player Will Smith had a blood alcohol level three times over the legal limit when he was shot and killed following a traffic incident in New Orleans, sources tell NOLA.com. The former Saints defensive end was shot and killed in April after he apparently rear-ended a man then drove off. The man, Cardell Hayes, followed Smith and a fight ensued. Smith was killed and his wife wounded in the shooting. According to sources, Smith's blood alcohol level was 0.24. Louisiana's legal blood alcohol limit is 0.08.
And one more

Peterson, 62, was found guilty of solicitation of murder in the scheme to kill James Glasgow. Glasgow is the Will County state's attorney. He faces between 35 and 70 years in prison on the counts of solicitation of murder for hire and solicitation of murder. He is already serving a 38-year sentence in the death of his ex-wife.
