What to know now:
1. Was foundation hacked: The Clinton Foundation, Bill, Hillary and Chelsea Clinton's charitable foundation, hired a cyber security firm to review its data systems after possibly being hacked, according to story from Reuters. Hackers may have broken into the system the same way the systems of the Democratic National Committee, Hillary Clinton's presidential campaign and the Democrats' congressional fundraising committee were broken into. The foundation reportedly hired the security firm FireEye to run a security check.
2. Going for the Gold, a record: Usain Bolt will run in the 200-meter final Thursday in Rio, and if he wins will be the first person in history to win the 100-meter and 200-meter Olympic sprints three times in a row. Social media latched on to photos of Bolt looking over at a competitor in Wednesday's semi-finals for the race and smiling as the race ended. If he wins tonight, the smile may be even bigger.
3. Haunting photo: The image of a 5-year-old boy rescued from the rubble of an airstrike in Aleppo, Syria, has begun to circulate through social media channels. The 5-year-old boy, who is shown covered in dust and blood, survived the bombing of his neighborhood by Syrian government forces. The photo was released by Syrian opposition activists.
4. Fiona forms: A low pressure center over the central Atlantic has developed into Tropical Storm Fiona, according to the National Hurricane Center. The storm, the sixth named storm of the Atlantic season, had sustained winds of 45 mph on Thursday morning. The storm is moving west-northwest. It could strengthen today, forecasters say.
5. Swimmers detained: Two American swimmers, Jack Conger and Gunnar Bentz, were taken off a flight home from Brazil after a judge there ordered them to remain in the country. Conger and Bentz are two of the four swimmers, including Ryan Lochte and James Feigen, who were allegedly held up at gunpoint as they were returning from a party after the end of the Olympic swimming competition. Feigen, who was still in Brazil at the time the two were taken off the plane, has been ordered to stay in the country. Lochte had already left Brazil before the judge ordered the four to remain there to answer police questions about the alleged incident.
And one more
The family of the man shot and killed by a police officer in Milwaukee last weekend says the officer who shot him knew him. Sylville Smith and the Milwaukee police officer who fatally shot him went to the same high school, Smith's sister, Sherelle said. "The officer knew him personally from high school and he still shot him," Sherelle Smith told CNN on Wednesday. "He didn't like my brother. The officer had a career, but my brother was more popular. He used to harass Sylville." Police officials said they had heard that the two knew each other, but could not confirm the story.
