The 2016 Emmys: What time is it on; channel; live stream; nominees

The award ceremony where television celebrates television – the Emmys – is set to air Sunday night.

There are plenty of new series and new faces up for the gold statues this year, but do they have a chance against tried and true winners like “Game of Thrones,” and “Veep.”

We'll have to tune in to see.

So how do you do that? Here is what  you need to know about the 68th annual Emmy Awards ceremony.

What time is the show?

The actual handing out of awards begins at 8 p.m. on ABC. A countdown to the Emmys comes on at 7 p.m. (ET). E! has a pre-show which begins at 4:30 p.m. (ET) and is hosted by Giuliana Rancic and Jason Kennedy. Red carpet coverage begins at 6 p.m. (ET)

Who is the  host?

Jimmy Kimmel is the host of Sunday’s ceremony. It’s his second time.

Is it live-streamed?

Of course, It's  2016. Look for the live  stream via ABC's site. You must have a TV provider login. You can also catch it on ABC Go which will stream the red carpet and the show.

Can I watch it on my phone?

Again, it’s 2016. Download  the ABC App from iTunes or Google Play. Click on “live TV.”

Facebook will broadcast Emmy highlights Sunday during the show. You'll be able to watch via 360-video. Look for it on KimmelABC and the Emmys Facebook pages.

Any news about the In Memoriam segment?

A tribute to Garry Marshall will be featured in the In Memoriam section. Henry Winkler – who played Fonzie on Marshall’s “Happy Day” – will introduce the segment.
