It's the first case of a baby to be born with microcephaly due to the Zika virus in the United States.

The baby girl was born Tuesday, and has the condition where the child's brain and head are partially developed resulting in a smaller-sized head.

The 31-year-old mother contracted Zika virus while visiting Honduras.

WABC is reporting that the baby also has intestinal and visual issues.

No other details have been released at this time.
