She made national headlines for being outed as white while serving as an NAACP leader. Now, Rachel Dolezal is making news again, but for a very different reason.
She’s pregnant, according to media reports.
Dolezal, 37, is a civil rights activist and former president of the Spokane, Wash., NAACP chapter. But earlier this year, she was accused of lying about her racial identity and she resigned from the job. Her parents publicly said Dolezal is white.
Dolezal reportedly announced the pregnancy on her Instagram account, and confirmed to the entertainment news site TMZ she is in her second trimester.
“One of my sons is a grown man at 21, one thinks he’s grown at 13, and another one is still cooking, but they are all three my precious beloved babies,” Dolezal posted.
She declined to identify the baby’s father. She is divorced.
