A Florida man was taking photos of a blue shark on April 13 when it apparently tired of his paparazzo ways, turned, and bit his left arm, according to The Miami Herald.
Mark Rackley, 48, needed 58 stitches for the gashes, The Herald reports.
Rackley has videotaped and photographed sharks for more than 25 years, he said to The Herald. He said he must have irked the female blue shark by following it out into the ocean. He dropped his camera and grabbed the 8- or 9-foot shark, which then let him go, Rackley told The Herald.
