A Florida postal worker may face a $250,000 fine or even jail time after being caught on camera dumping mail into the trash, according to WINK News.

A restaurant owner in Fort Myers, Florida, told WINK he was working on the roof of his pizza place last weekend when he saw the mail carrier unloading a bin full of flyers and personal letters into a dumpster.

Special agents for the USPS inspector general's office have surveillance footage of the incident and are investigating, WINK reports.

A Realtor, whose flyers were among the mail trashed, said he doesn't think it's a one-off incident.

“Seeing the video footage, ya know, she rolled right in here like she owned the place. I doubt it’s the first time this happened," Warren Hudson told WINK.
