A child welfare agency is reportedly investigating former New York Rep. Anthony Weiner after it was revealed that he sexted explicit photos of himself that also showed his 4-year-old asleep next to him.
According to the New York Post, Weiner is being investigated by the Administration for Children's Services in New York City. Officials with the agency showed up Tuesday at the apartment Weiner shares with his wife, Huma Abedin, and their son, the story said.
Abedin is a top aide to Democratic nominee for president, Hillary Clinton. On Monday, Abedin announced she was separating from her husband.
Over the weekend, the New York Post published a photo Weiner allegedly sent to a woman that showed him sitting in bed, clad only in his underwear, with his son asleep on the bed next to him.
According to the story, Weiner had referred to his son as a “chick magnet.”
Weiner resigned from Congress in 2011 after he accidentally posted an explicit photo of himself on social media. He was caught a second time sexting with a woman during his 2013 run for mayor of New York City.
