An Alabama man was caught multiple times on camera striking a baby and covering the child's nose and mouth, authorities said.

According to the Montgomery Advertiser, authorities on Thursday charged William Burch Jr., 27, of Millbrook, with aggravated child abuse and domestic violence through strangulation or suffocation.

In videos taken from May through August at a Montgomery home, Burch appears to hit the months-old baby girl and cover her face with his hand, court documents said.

Authorities took the baby to a Birmingham hospital, where doctors discovered that she had bruises and a potential brain bleed, WSFA reported.

Burch was jailed on $150,000 bond at the Montgomery County Detention Facility, according to the news station.
