Vanessa Bryant, widow of NBA star Kobe Bryant, claimed Thursday that Nike has released an unapproved shoe designed to honor her late daughter, Gianna.

In an Instagram post, Bryant said the global footwear manufacturing giant released an unapproved “MAMBACITA” shoe, after photos, according to NBC News, circulated online appearing to show someone in possession of the shoe.

Bryant shared a photo that appeared to show a person holding the shoe she designed. Bryant asked anyone with information about the shoe to come forward.

The shoes are also shown as sold out on resale marketplaces GOAT’s and Flight Club’s websites, CNBC reported.

Kobe and Gianna Bryant, along with six other passengers, died Jan. 26, 2020, when their helicopter crashed into a rugged hillside outside Los Angeles.

The chopper, a Sikorsky S-76, was bound to the Mamba Sports Academy in Thousand Oaks, California, where Bryant coached his daughter and other teammates. It was flying in foggy conditions considered dangerous enough that local police agencies grounded their choppers.
