An Ohio school system canceled all classes Wednesday morning after a student reportedly threatened to “shoot up” a local high school.
Edgewood City Schools in Butler County were canceled “due to an active threat,” school officials said.
Butler County Sheriff Richard Jones told Fox 19 they received a report a student made an online threat. The student who is believed to have made the threat has been detained, Jones said.

A 15-year-old student has been arrested, according to WLWT.
The challenge? The 15 year old only "knows" the second person from school & SnapChat, but it's stated in the incident report that the alleged second person rarely goes to school. The teen who was arrested did not have weapons in his possession. 2/3

“We take all threats seriously,” Jones told the station. “Parents should explain to their kids that this will be handled seriously and could result in serious ramifications. This is not a video game. This causes multiple disruptions and puts fear in the community.”
The threat was reported Tuesday night by someone who said he was on the internet with a student who made threatening comments, police said.
Butler County is north of Cincinnati.
