A driver who died after crashing into a guardrail has been identified as Sherzod Mirzakabulov, according to the Fulton County medical examiner’s office.

Mirzakabulov, 28, was from Stone Mountain, the medical examiner’s office said.

His car was apparently traveling eastbound on the 600 block of Whitehall Street near I-20 at about 4:20 a.m. when it left the road and struck a guardrail, according to Atlanta police Sgt. Greg Lyon. The guardrail separated, impaling him.
