A Fayette County motorcyclist died late Tuesday from injuries he sustained in a wreck earlier in the day, police said.
The wreck happened about 2:15 p.m. Tuesday on Ga. 74 near Senoia Road in Peachtree City.
Peachtree City police Lt. Mark Brown said Robert McElwaine, 28, of Tyrone, was operating a motorcycle northbound on Ga. 74 when a southbound motorist, Donna Johnson, 75, of Peachtree City, attempted to turn left onto Lexington Pass.
Johnson’s vehicle collided with the motorcycle, critically injuring McElwaine.
McElwaine was flown to Atlanta Medical Center, where he later died, Brown said late Tuesday.
The wreck remains under investigation.
