Las Cruces Police officials are searching for Maverick Ransom, 3, and his brother Orion Ransom, 4, who have been missing and possibly with their non-registered sex offender father since Oct. 8.

According to the police department in New Mexico, the boys were last seen when their father Clarence Michael Ransom, 52, picked them up from an area day-care center. Ransom and his estranged wife have shared custody of the boys, but he reportedly didn't share any plans to travel with the children.

“Police have reason to believe Clarence Michael Ransom may have traveled to Ciudad Juarez, Mexico, the same day and returned to the United States the following day,” reads a message on the Las Cruces Police Department Facebook page.  “It’s not known if he took his two sons with him and their whereabouts are unknown.”

Maverick and Orion are about 3 feet, 6 inches, and each weighs about 30 pounds.

He was last seen driving a silver 2013 Toyota Camry with temporary tags. His last known address is an apartment in the 2200 block of East Missouri Avenue in Las Cruces.

A nationwide warrant has been issued for Ransom’s arrest. The warrant charges Ransom with failure to register as a sex offender and noncompliance with a custodial agreement.
