Man shot and killed at SW Atlanta apartment complex
Atlanta police are investigating an overnight shooting at an apartment complex that left a man dead.
According to police dispatchers, the shooting happened just before 1 a.m. Wednesday at the Cascade Pines apartments in the 2900 block of Campbellton Road.
Channel 2 Action News reported that the victim, a man in his 20, was apparently shot once in the parking lot before collapsing in the breezeway of a building.
Police told the station they were seeking witnesses to the shooting.
“We don’t have anyone that’s talking right now,” Atlanta police Lt. Charles Hampton told Channel 2. “We’re trying to piece it together, but we don’t have any motive.”
